It all depends on the shape of the rest of the space. For example, the galley kitchen in the photo example is different from most galley kitchens because it's open to the rest of the house.

I agree with quercus2. That is a fabulous galley kitchen, but most of the ones I have seen aren't as wide or large and don't open to the house that way. That is a gorgeous space. It is the French doors and the opening to the rest of the house that make me love that one. Other than that, it would be the U Shaped for me. Look at all that storage.

Just curious why the third picture is different than the third one in the vote?

Based on the larger three pictures, all are very beautiful kitchens, I love the kitchen island table look of pic 2 but three gets my vote for two reasons, I love simple but sturdy tables in a kitchen with chairs-more comfortable to sit at to cut veggies, have a cup of tea and even write while in kitchen, love also the upper cabinets.
