Ceiling height?

I would like to hang this or another capiz shell chandelier over a dining table in a great room with a slanted 17 foot high ceiling. Is that possible?

    Dear Heidi,

    Everything is possible :) First a slanted ceiling is not a problem. Even though the ceiling plate (canopy) will be mounted at an angle, the chain the lamp is hanging from will still be vertical.

    In regards of the chain you will need an additional 3 feet of chain. The entire lamp, lamp body & chain, is about 78 inches tall. I assume your table is roughly 28 inches high. You want to put the chandelier at least 34 inches above the table. Adding and subtracting all these numbers will leave you with about 36 inches or 3 feet of additional chain that is needed to make it work. We do sell additional chain for a flat rate of $20.00 for 3 feet of chain. The flat rate covers the chain and the shipping.
