Couple of pics...

I was taking photos of various plants in the gardens yesterday, and some stood out more than others, in the lighting at the time.

I'll spare you the non-hostas.

Love Pat was originally planted in a spot that kept her growth stunted. When we built this big walk-through garden on the side of and behind the garage, we knew she belonged there.

And Samurai (with Albomarginata) was a birthday gift to myself a few years ago, and is in the same garden, just in front of the irises seen in the photo above.

I moved my Love Pat this month, too. Sorry for the blurry pic, but she rewarded me by ignoring the move and blooming.

Wow - nicest Love Pat I've seen so far! Love the colour, cupping and all that rugosity, Kristy. You sure did find a great home for her. Stretching out beautifully.

Your Samurai is gorgeous and perfect...and almost a ringer for FW with those colours! But that is not Albomarginata beside it. Looks like an Undulata to me.

You are good with the camera! I think you've got a lot more ;-)...... More, please? :-)

Lindalana, I wish I could tell you the name. Tall bearded is all I know for sure. It's a pale lavender iris. If I dig around, I might be able to come up with the name. I ordered a whole slew of them 15 years ago, and can recall the names of only a few. Plus, I have picked up some at various plant sales over the years.

It isn't blooming at the moment, but I think it's a touch paler. I have other divisions. I will see if I can get a photo for you, if I do.

Josephine... here is a photo of the iris. It is hard to tell, but it has a white beard.

Searching...searching... I think it is Fragrant Lilac. I never purchased that through a catalog, so I must have picked it up at a plant sale or garage sale.
