Agree a closeup of the stone would help. One thing that would help is to paint the garage door the same color as the siding. Also, when possible, think about a garage door with glass panes across the top. Get panes that mimic the house windows.

I agree with chloebud about adding windows to the garage door. There are faux windows that are very easy to add and quite inexpensive. Painting the garage door would help as well as painting the downspout on the right of the garage to match. I darkened up the shutters a bit, painted the garage and downspout and painted your posts in a color as close as I could get to your front door.

Remove shutters they are not the look this year, add brick moulding around the windows to beef them and paint them the trim color, clad and paint the porch posts to twice their size....pretty easy and quick fix.

I agree with Onyx, more contrast when would do wonders. I would paint the shutters black and use a bright white on the gutters and trim. As said above, adding windows to the garage door will bring it more up to date and I would paint it the same color as the siding. As for the front door - it's a bit lost right now. Try something bold and fun like turquoise, red or grass green!

I'm not a fan of the front door color, in fact in hate it!

After seeing this example, I'm changing my mind about the garage door. Paint the trim and the garage bright white. Also, these faux hinges and handle are super cheap and easy to install and would go great with the style of your house. You can get them at Home Depot.

If you do paint the front door, make sure you paint the trim around it white, this will help it to stand out more. Cute house with tons of potential!!!

Do I paint the two outside panels the same color has the front door? and then just do trim in white?

The siding really needs a new color, not just the shutters etc.

Yes, the siding is vinyl. I would love to redo it all but the world I live in that is not an option. Just looking for a way to spruce it up a bit...
