Ok, you have a few different things going on. The table is a little rustic.. you have that lovely RH looking linen (?) chair off to the left of the piano which fits with the the table and chairs... then you have some very traditional pieces. Nothing wrong with mixing, but I think the mirror is too ornate and then being gold on top of it if you want to keep the other gold piece there. Nothing wrong with a gold mirror, but feel it's heavy with the more RH or PB table look in the room. A more spare gold frame IMO or another mirror. Nice now to know the ceiling is vaulted :)

I do agree you need a vertical mirror if you want a mirror there or a large round.

Here is a vertical mirror in the room. For a room with a vaulted ceiling, a mirror mounted vertically is more appropriate and draws the eye up in the room.

Great, Vertically it would look great. I believe it may be a bit narrow hanging vertically over your sideboard/buffet. It's 36" wide and 48" high. That would leave about 18" on either side of the top of your sideboard.

I like the piece as it has silvers and a little bit of gold, but not an overboard amount of gold as you have the pieces with a lot of gold for the sideboard/buffet. Thinking toning the mirror down is all to a pretty mirror, but not heavy looking.

I also like the vintage glass uttermost with the more spare frame... the vintage glass gives is an old world feel.. would tie in well with your gold pieces on the table.

Just tossing this out. I think it is a tad too heavy in the frame( ???? ) however has the antiqued glass. I do love a QUATREFOIL MIRROR.

42" and up in size in diameter. Would look great with the table and chairs, but I don't think with the decor you have on the buffet :( IMO that is.. maybe Bev can chime in on this one.

I think the beaded framed, "box" mirror with gold metal beading won't play well with your table decor.

I do like the oval you posted if it's wide enough for the sideboard/console.

as Bev and I mentioned the quatrefoil mirror would look nice. RH does have a sale on the quatrefoil in a metal tone as I posted... however, hard to tell exactly the metal tone by looking at their website and CS is of NO HELP with them!

This is the RH min size is 42" in diameter...so it would be quite large above the sideboard/buffet, but that doesn't bother me... may bother others. It is an antique glass... yet, it is on the larger side to be sure and won't tie in as well with you table decor by any means. I believe it would leave 6" one either side, but being round may make it better on the eye than square????

Problem being is we are trying to work with tying in the decor you want on the table top so it's a balancing act with some of the mirror if they are too rustic, etc.

If you want to relocate (though I'm sure you don't) the decor on the table top many things would work IMO. Yet, given the still need to be cognizant of the ceiling medallion and the chandelier.

It is my opinion the Ethan Allen mirror style works best:

antiqued glass, silver panes and some gold accent on the mirror. Not a heavy appearing frame and plays well with both the table/chairs and the decor you want on the sideboard and the chandelier.

The RH oval is thin frame. I was looking the Ethan Allen, but the frame is kind of silver. Do you think it will work, because the chandeliers are gold

When I, "zoomed" in on the Ethan Allen it appeared to have a muted gold frame in the surround. I would call to question that fact and hopefully they are helpful and knowledgeable. I could in fact be silver you are correct.

The Front Gate has gold which on my computer shows well, but would also check that as well by calling them if you choose this direction. I only offered up the Ethan Allen as it's a tad wider as I feel it should hang vertically. I think it would work well.

I do like the silver tone that separates the panes on the Front Gate and believe it's muted due to the antique look. The rosettes are muted gold it appears as is the frame which works very well. It's a more subtle mirror than what you have and works well with the more semi rustic farm table and the rest.. nothing wrong with mixing this. I don't like the wood frame you posted as it's taking things in to a completely different direction. Nothing wrong with mixing and it may look great. However, if you have a Home Goods store in your area you can find a large wood framed mirror similar to get a visual. They have an abundance of mirrors if you want to satisfy the craving of the juxtaposition and I say do it!

I would just double check your dimensions of the sloped ceiling on any on line order and even take a piece of painters tape and place it centered on your table to see how you like the width if you go with Front Gate or other if it's rectangular. It should not be spare, but not too large.

Once you have the painters tape down you can place your table decor and see what you think of the scale. You won't want to hang this too high so about say, 6" or so above the table if you want to use a metal measure and see how high it goes and if it pleases you.

It's an expense and you need to get some info for any questions you have on any on line order. I have purchased from Front Gate and their sister store. We used to have an outlet here and I have a handful of things from them namely robes, bath linens, holiday decor and we have some outdoor furniture on our deck... it's all worked well for us.
