Land or "C"? (...Cellphone that is)

Do you still have a landline or have you gone full cell?

Still tethered to the wall.
The cord has been cut!

We actually just got rid of the landline last month, wasn't worth the cost compared to how much we used it.

I haven't had a landline sine 1993. Fun thing though- my last landline # is a code for a supermarket rewards program. I still remember it!

I've heard that some phone companies are thinking of not supporting landline infrastructures anymore - any more it's just not necessary

check into voip gives you far more that land. and then it will pay for internet and cable.

No land line for us, 3 people, 3 cell phones and voilà !

Depends on your location; cells in cities are great, out here in rural hill country the quality suffers - hence a landline is required.

chif, i have lived up to 30 miles from small town and magic jack has always worked great. cheapest one of all.

i have heard its useful to have a landline with regards to emergency services locating the caller... but maybe thats old info and not relevant?

missw, if you have a landline that plugs into phone plug only, it will work when electric goes out. you can deal with just a cell phone if it gets reception where you live, though sometimes they do not work either.
