Adding jalapenos to traditional jam recipe - any problems?

Canning newbie here. Does anyone know if adding about a cup of jalapenos to a regular jam recipe (blueberry, blackberry, etc.) will prevent it from setting or completely change it's balance. If so, are there any recommended adjustments I can make to compensate? Perfect example is a blueberry jam I've been considering. Calls for 6 cups blueberries, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 4 cups sugar, and 1 pouch (3 ounces) liquid fruit pectin. Other than strawberry and peach, I've noticed a large number of jalapeno jam recipes that don't have very many (or very good) reviews, which makes me apprehensive to try them out. I'm wondering if I'll be better off adding jalapenos to a tried-and-true traditional recipe...then again, maybe I'm crazy! ;) Thanks in advance for any advice!
