Marmoleum click installation

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for someone who can install Marmoleum click floors. We live in Central NJ and so far have not found any one who is familiar with the material. They all think I am talking about vinyl and when I explain say they are not comfortable laying the marmoleum. We ordered the floor from Green Building Supply because the color we wanted was discontinued and its been sitting in our house for two weeks now!
Thanks so much!

We installed it ourselves as did my sister and her SO. It is not difficult. You need a table saw to cut pieces, and a drill for pipe holes, but that is about it.

thank you Powermuffin. We are the least handy people any one has every met so I am afraid to try it myself. But perhaps we can talk a local floor person into it since everyone I have asked says it is not so hard.

    Hi Moggala --

    Two thoughts --

    1) have you tried to find installers via the flooring supply stores that cater to pros vs homeowners? Sheet linoleum (Marmoleum by Forbo, but Armstrong makes it too) does take specialized knowledge but it's installed in many hospitals, schools etc so surely someone there does it. And might be happy to do a small side gig installing Click, which yes can be done DIY, so a pro should find it a snap/click! Maybe try reaching out to CS reps for both brands.

    2) Are the pros you're talking to really understanding that this product is NOT sheet flooring? Can you download the install specs and send it to them?

Lastly, lino is worth the wait. Such a pleasure underfoot, for cleaning etc. Enjoy it when you get it!

What colors did you get? I *love* my Marmoleum click floor in kitchen/dining area but we did not get a good installation. Also ordered from Green Building Supply and was going to DIY with the help of a handywoman. Long story, blah blah blah, subfloor had more issues than in my skill set so we hired company recommended by designer who was supposed to be experienced in Marmoleum. Turns out they were assuming it would be the same as vinyl click products and did a lot more of banging the pieces together than how you supposed to get just the right angle with the Marm and gently put them together. Their floor leveling plan was also not good so now we have areas where the squares/planks do not come together as tightly as they are supposed to and the company backpedaled on trying to fix it and instead refunded almost all of our install $$. I'd rather have my beautiful floor done right!!

My recommendation is to keep looking for someone with Marmoleum experience. Or, if that's not possible, someone who will watch the video, read the instructions and practice a few rows to make sure they can get those subsequent rows to go in cleanly. Side to side is super easy so don't judge by that.

Make sure whoever you consider understands the subfloor prep that's required. The store where we are purchasing our vinyl planks (I still can't manage to call it "luxury" vinyl, ha ha!) warned us that Marmoleum click flooring requires much more surface prep or else the tiles don't fit as tightly or look as smooth as thicker planks with cork backing.
