I realize I may be totally off in this forum but I am going to give it a try. I have this birdhouse that has a wire that you arer suppose to use to hang it from. When you hang the feeder the top will not slide off. But.. I screwed it into a post so the wire just sits on top and when the squirrels comes, thr can knock the top off easily and go to town on the food.

How can I latch the top on and easily take it off to refill ? I would probably then cut the wire off too. I am lost
