This is true, and I as a designer I am quite glad that the company stands by their policy.

The only way to get an item only sold to the trades is through Ebay or Craig's List. I just checked ebay and there are a few Bolier Co. pieces there--but not the chair you want :( You could set up a saved search in Ebay that would notify you if one should become available. Good luck!

Really, if you want the chair is it that difficult to buy it from a designer? Some High-end furniture stores do sell them also.
