Satisfaction?

Thanks Babka..I'll look it up..previous homeowner planted hostas here but was NOT a gardener..she did say "some of them were expensive" whatever that means..I do like this one..

Seducer looks a lot like that also.

zkathy..looked up Seducer..does resemble it but it said there's "a trace of white" between the margin and the center colors..mine doesn't seem to have any white..thanks for the suggestion..

Don't dismiss Seducer because it doesn't have "a trace of white!" Mine doesn't. Here it is:

I believe the white develops if it gets enough sun. So what do you think? Do you have a Seducer?

My Seducer only gets that white line when I put it in more sun. I does have a little glaucous bloom, and Nicholsworth's photo doesn't show any bloom. Did it have some earlier?

newhostalady..hmm..could be a Seducer..this hosta is growing in shade..doesn't the pic even look dark?..

Babka..if sun is needed for the white line to develop I'll never have a line lol..there's a bit of an old bloom in pic 2..hard to see in pic 1..didn't notice the blooms when they were fresh but they seem pale..

The hosta does look dark. How much shade is it in? As for the white line, I don't think I will ever see it on my hosta either.

pretty shady..been looking at old posts with Seducer and Satisfaction pics..I'm thinking it's Seducer..Satisfaction's leaves seem to have more texture than mine..

Unfortunately you may just have to leave it until next year when you can see when it flowers and the actual color of the flower. That may help to identify it. By the way I have another Seducer that I have in more light and it still does not have that white line!

newhostalady..I saw pics of Seducer on old posts that looked just like mine..to me but I'm not as knowledgeable as some of you..I don't mind that mine has no white..

don..you would?..I'm not familiar with either but some Satisfaction pics had corrugated leaves and mine is sort of shiny and slick..I'm not good with ID's..

Just a guess on my part.

Just went to look at my Seducer. Seems very much a probability that's what yours is. I'm amazed the hail didn't shred it, must be protected somehow.

Steve..thanks for weighing in..I agree that it looks like Seducer..we have quite the tree canopy..I can work in the rain and stay fairly dry..but then later the trees drip lol..

Ikm..just looked..YES it does..until my post never knew ANY of the 3 that have been suggested..the subtle differences between look alikes are tough..

Babka..looked at your link..the pics in it look like mine..this one is tough to ID..

I guess it will all boil down to (availability) where you got it, and when, as the flowers and the mature leaves and overall size over the years. Careful observation might help, but SO many hostas are difficult to distinguish these days. It doesn't help that Livingston didn't register this one to give its heritage. A puzzlement indeed. You could name it "SP" for now.
