I've been having slug problems because I now use leaves as mulch. I bought Slug B Gon (iron phosphate). I didn't follow directions, just applied very little to infested areas. No more slug problems. I think the small bag I bought is going to last for many years.

The OP's pest is a pear 'slug'. It is the larva of a sawfly and completely unrelated to the true slugs (Gastropods) which can be tackled with anti slug products. Slug B Gone will not affect it.

i know many people don't follow labels. You may not want to advertise it.

rphcfb14, label recommended more than the amount I used per square foot. I wrote that I used "very little," which is likely to be much less "harmful" than the amount they recommend.
