You room is very nice. l agree with the idea of moving the sofas closer to the rug will make things look more finished and cohesive. The topiary seems to be the odd man out. Have you considered replacing it with a tall vase and tall filler? What about adding some linen curtain panels hung high and wide behind the sofa?

Honestly though, the room is nicely done and doesn't really need anything.

Good call. Decided to remove the topiary over the weekend as it's dark leaves were too stark. Now figuring out what will take it's place. Have two kids so anything ceramic isnt an option for now.

Once you pull loveseat forward a bit you won't need anything to replace the topiary.

I'm just curious where you park food, a drink, books, magazines etc. with no tables to hold them. I really like the drapes. I do agree that the rug would be better turned in the other direction, and a larger one might be even better.
