im usually not much impressed with a little leaf damage .... IDed or not ... so i want to see the whole plant.. to see the significance of such ...

Here are the three plants. Tallest on the right is fast approaching 5' tall.

I'm on Long Island, 7B. Temps have been around 80, at most 85 on occasion in recent weeks, often 65-70 at night. Lots of sun, infrequent rain. Also has been less humid than usual.

Affected leaves are on bottom/in middle of plants. Not much advance of browning since my initial question. Just curious b/c I've never grown sunflowers and my 3-year-old is pretty excited about them. Overall, plants seem to be in good health.

its doesnt bother me much when the oldest.. lowest leaves get ugly ... especially on SFs ... it might be summed up by saying.. its what they do ....

frankly.. your plants look great.. focus on the upper newer growth ...
