The finish you have on there now could be a different paint and a different finish (matte is "in" right now so you may have a different texture as well). All that being said, you probably cannot change the finish on it.

Are they painted wood or are they thermafoil over MDF? How are the cabinets made? If they are painted wood, then you can have them refinished - probably at full cost to you. If they are thermafoil over MDF then they are not going to be changed without buying new doors.

At this point, the issue is moot. You have purchased them. You can contact the manufacturer to see if they have some tricks they like to use. I've successfully lifted year-old stains out of laminate counters by using "Vim Cream" with "microparticles. But then again, the counters are over 30 years old - we don't really care if the cleaner hurts them or not. But the Vim does one heck of a job removing stuff that appears to be permanent. Test a SMALL patch in an area that is NOT visible. Like the inside of a drawer or a door.

And remember: magic erasers can remove PAINT from a surface. That's part of how they work. They remove a SMALL amount of the finish...thereby removing the stain simply by removing the FINISH the stain is sitting on. Be careful with these types of things. You might end up with more of a mess than had you simply worked it a little harder with traditional cleaners.
