I would not buy a leather sofa for a living room or a TV room. I would rethink that. That is a big, heavy piece that you will feel you have to be stuck with for the rest of your lives because of the money you spent on it. It will get worn, scratched, faded, broken down and you will be forced to decorate around it for many years to come. Leather furniture belongs in a bar or a study or a library .... not living areas. IMO.

I would not recommend Pottery Barn. I ordered the leather chesterfield sofa as well as two swivel chairs in "performance" fabric about a year and a half ago. Not impressed with the quality. Many of the tufting buttons have popped off or are loose on the sofa and the performance fabric is looking sad on the chairs. Won't be ordering upholstered furniture from them again. I ordered a leather sectional from Roger & Chris that I absolutely love. Great quality and fabulous customer service.

We have 2 leather chairs and a leather sofa in our TV/living room. We love how it looks and is very comfortable. The key is making sure you go and sit on the furniture so it is a good fit for you. We shopped around for quite a while before buying. If you buy a quality furniture and take care of it will not get scratched, faded or broken down.

Those loose back cushions will be the bane of your existence. They sag and wrinkle. I have them on a leather sofa that I own and I hate them. I much prefer a tight back. Look at the Flexsteel Digby in leather. The steel frame has a lifetime warranty and it's very light and easy to move around. Not sure if the price is in your budget to be honest but it's worth looking at.

We have a light colored leather sofa from made by Classic Leather. Even with 3 little dogs clamoring all over it -it remains beautiful. No scratches, no fading, not broken down at all. With leather you get what you pay for. Look at quality lines like Hancock and Moore, Bradington Young, Classic Leather to name a few.
