Depending on where you are in Wisconsin? Varies a bit: zone 3 or 4... some areas 5.

Just curious but why didn't you post this in one of the gardening forums? Seems like that would be a more likely location for planting suggestions.......Folks who know how to design and build patios and decks don't always know much about plants and gardening.

Certainly, your idea book has some very nice things you have for inspiration for both interior and the outdoors. Houzzer ppl/pros will go there often for inspiration from you, so you might post some things if you have not that you lean toward in terms of what you are seeking. Good luck!
