Take these stairs out and you can do a nice composite stair and a paver or concrete walkway. If composite stair to expensive you can do it in pressure treated and have it stained. If you have a basement, I would check from the inside if your rim joist is not deteriorating at the porch location. Looking at your porch, and all the cracks in the surface it looks like water been penetrating the surface of the porch for some time now and could have caused damage to the structure if it wasn't properly flashed when it was constructed.

Do the stairs need fixing? It looks okay to me.
