Need design help

Okay I'm getting this 70s designer sofa from my aunt. I currently have a torn up linen sofa and I think this currently is more my style even though it's vintage. Eventually I will 100% recover but kind of on a save Ramsey budget right now. How would you style this couch, pillows and such to modernize? Pops of emerald green? Bold black and white print?
