Looks like black rot to me also. Not much can be done about it now. Best to use some preventative measures early next year.

I greatly appreciate the help. I assume 'black rot' Will not go away on it's own? Early next year do I spray the whole tree or just where the roots are located? the grape vine is over 20 ft in length.

The spores over winter in 'mummies', (dried out berries), fallen leaves, and in the bark if the vine.

So, I'd rake well this winter, and then apply to all the plant in spring. A little on the ground wouldn't hurt.

A lot will get on the ground anyway, a coarse spray until it almost drips off. You are trying to get into every nook and cranny in the bark.

And repeat application about every two weeks, according to the label

In the growing season concord will become resistant to black rot but usually not until after berry set. So if you didn't want to spray, or chose to spray organically, you'd need to be militant about removing the grape debris farmer bill mentioned, open the canopy for airflow as much as possibe, and prune out anything infected you see (until the resistance takes over).

Don is right, Concord berries are immune about 5 weeks after bloom.
