    So if a floating vanity can indeed be done in a new bathroom, is there any reason not to? currently deciding (36")

    Thank you for your question.

    It is important that there is enough backing behind the drywall in order to support the weight of a floating vanity. This would mean having a general contractor opening the drywall to place more support between the studs.
