We have a huge problem with fruit flies in Florida. My mom had to sew little bags to place around each fruit cluster. I love wax Jambu but mine died suddenly after a heavy harvest in Palm Beach. I replacing it with mango trees. Your fruit looks yummy. Congrats

Thanks for your comments. I'm sorry to hear of your loss ... It must be difficult to let go of it after it had given you a good harvest. My Wax Jambu seems like a weak plant too .. with elongated branches and not much of a trunk to it. It has a weird habit of growing floppy branches that can easily break when the fruit are too heavy for their support ... Maybe that's the reason why their life is cut short ... I'm not too sure myself. I had to trim off a few of the odd branches and even the lower branches that had fruit also broke off before they're ripen.

I think Mango trees are a good idea. At least, they're a lot stronger and they can grow rather fast too unlike the Wax Jambu that takes forever grow (at least it is here for me).
