I had a lavender trumpet vine in Orange County and yes, it was invasive. It cracked a cement block at the top of a fence and rooted everywhere. Even a few years after removing it, I still have pieces grow here and there.

"Invasive" means propagates at a distance.

Campsis is "aggressive" in that it can take over a garden if left to its own devices.
