Yeah, hail would do that. Even heavy raindrops occasionally cause splits and tears in tomato leaves.

The leaf that's starting to brown and yellow could just be senescing or it could be the start of a common fungal disease. If you're not opposed to fungicides, I would recommend you start spraying regularly if you're not doing so already. Prune off any yellowed or browning foliage.

As for the damaged leaves, I would prune off any that are really shredded but leave the rest for now. If you see any signs of mold, lesions, etc., then prune them off.

Those plants are awfully large for the pots they're in.

Thanks for the feedback gorbelly. I was thinking my next step would be neem oil. I have not been using fungicides yet, so I will start that regime.

Jean, funny you should mention size of plants and containers. I bought the plants because they were suitable for containers. The problem is, I was only able to find wimpy 4' cages. The teepee trellis thing is kind of a bust. Not sure that those are working for me. So, learning as we go.
