9 year work of love

last modified: 9 years ago

It all began with a small pond liner someone found at my local recycle center. I was pleased, but I didn't know where to begin. I didn't know at the time, but I was meant to have a pond. 3 years later, I came home to find 3 small goldfish the size of my small finger. I knew next to nothing on how to take care of them. I had a couple of tanks in the house, but we're talking a pond now. I went on line and got myself a pump/filter. Well, they've made it Winter after Winter. The pump runs 24/7 and 365 day and night. Three years ago, they managed to make a baby. My pond area certainly has grown as far as vegetation goes. I am sharing the first photo ever taken of the pond in 2008, 2. the fish and 3. the pond area as seen from afar. Different perennials grace each side from Daisies to Stella D'Oro daylillies to Astilbe and even pink Fillipedula and Goosenecks which look like lace. Last photo was taken yesterday. My pond is my passion, you might say. Enjoy ...
