A few blooms from this evening...

Haven't taken a lot of pics lately. We're back into the triple digits and I haven't gotten much deadheading done. Stuff is fryin' like crazy! I'm just tryin' to keep 'em watered right now. No energy to go out and do much. Altho tonite I managed to get my husband and younger son to go out and rake up and hoe a bunch of weeds out of the walkways between some beds. Managed to fill up 2 green waste cans! But while we were out there, I saw a bloom on one of my op seedlings and had to go grab the camera before it got dark. Took a few others too...

This is s seedling from COUNTRY LADY. I recall she had a slightly stripey bloom last yr too. Mama's right next to a bed of striped roses. Can't wait for her to get a full bush of blooms... one day...

I'm surprised, but glad you could stand the heat to share your blooms.

We have had so much rain, the air is full of moisture and the "moskies" are the size of elephants. Love Annabell with the "fluffy" feet.

That op seedling looks magnificent, especially the bright happy coloring. I can see a little bit of the striping on the 2 o'clock petal, nice work Beth!

Oh I love your seedling!!! You are so lucky to have such a beautiful brand new rose!! Yay for the chicken picture -Annabelle is a sweet name for a sweet hen. :)

'Pure Gold' looks as if heat wave was in someone's imagination. It really zaps the energy.

Towanda I originally put up those LED lights last winter. They're on a timer. I used them to keep the girls laying all winter. They need like 14hrs of light to produce eggs. I keep the lights up now just cuz I like them on in the evenings.

I'm hoping to get some more blooms on that seedling. She's kind stingy tho.

Yes, that would be nice to have a few more blooms...but she's still young.

So cool that you have chickens...I just love them! And you get nice tasty eggs!
