Forbidden Fruit

Oh goody! Just got Forbidden fruit and Dawn early light, so nice to see it growing,

Key West is stunning, I wonder how well it would do with more shade?

I skipped on Jabulani and Nancy but maybe I should reconsider, as well as hosta May... how much shade they can take?

Looked up Frisian pride, it is out of my fav Gilt by Association, must have!

I have put Jessica Alba on the list earlier but it still hard to find.

Question on mini- those look great! I have tried to incorporate mini into perennial bed and they just get lost, even among equally low grow stuff. I created one bed with totally mini hosta- so we will see but lifted some into containers and they really shine up close... wonder how to overwinter? I do have a shed... I think I need to do few Hypertufa throughs and see what happens...

Love subtlety of English Sunrise and Early times, do they do better with more or less sun?

I love all of them, my Forbidden Fruit has quite a bit of morning sun and has lightened up as the season progresses. I wanted Jabulani but my local source sold out in early May!

Early Times and English Sunrise have sun from 12-18, it is more a pale yellow lemon than gold, but both have a very elegant look...

My best yellow gold this year, but only until end of May was Whiskey Sour, now it is bright green.

and there is more than one green...:-)

Hm, my Whiskey sour had bleached badly so I moved it to more shade but it is still yellow

I take that back, as I am looking this morning at Whiskey sour after moving to the shadier spot, there is definite greening up

This is Golden waffles. It is in fairly deep shade.

I like my little Gold Drop. She's in full sun and looks a little scorched right now, but here's a picture from around the end of May when she started blooming.

Early Times, English Sunrise and May are all yellow sports of June. They look alike to me. My May is in full shade. It is on the east side of a large oak and north of a stone pine. This more recent photo shows how it greens up a bit.

Orange Marmalade in heavy shade is such a pale yellow I can't get an accurate pic, bu t these leaves are yellow.
