i know this is a long shot, but does anyone recognize this melon. It is one of 3 melon varieties i sowed this year. Melon charentais, hales best 45, and bidwell casaba. I cant remember which one i gave to my father in law. Im thinking it is the hales variety. The thing is, this melon is 14 inches long and probably 10 lbs. Are these supposed to get this big? How can we tell if it is ripe? Any help is much appreciated.
