Oh... and the variety is Rose. Tomorrow it will go into an Italian tomato and onion salad... hmmm, I'll have to check if any cukes are ready yet!

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the garden...

Okay, just kidding... this one is much better looking, and my new record - especially for a non-fused bloom! I should have let it stay on the vine one more day and I might have got that last ounce. :-(

First... the delicious Italian tomato salad that was made from that ugly mater from last time...

And the nearly 2 pounder picked yesterday... it too is the heirloom Rose...

This time I thought to put a quarter on the scale for size.

Mine too Linda. It yields well, and I love the flavor. I'll grow it as long as I have God's good graciousness to sow a seed.

Oh, and the Mexican families across the street wanted the paste tomatoes for their salsa... until they tried the Rose and Brandywines. Now they send the kids over for "the big juicy ones!' lol. And those kids get a kick out of the bottoms of Cherokee Purples. They think some of them look like butts. They look through them all and turn them until they find the butts and laugh.
