Remodeling Design Dilemma Kitchens

What color quartz and honed vs polished?

We have a midcentury modern house that we are renovating. We have white oak floors that have a matte finish. White dove throughout the entire house with tongue and groove ceiling. Remodeling our kitchen and doing BM platinum grey cabinets. Would like some advice on a color and line of quartz for the waterfall island. Thinking of a white with grey veining. And second should we go with polished or honed? Any suggestions, ideas, greatly appreciated.

I have to be honest I don't understand why people complain about fingerprints on honed or matte surfaces. First of all don't they clean their counters everyday? it's a easy wipe off. Secondly hands are rarely muddy/dirty at home?!. I think issue if fingerprints are more relevant in stainless steel countertops. I love them but you can't touch them without continual smudging.

I'm not a fan of honed quartz. I've honed some in the shop. It looks like glued-together sand which is what it is. Folks complain about fingerprinting constantly.

You will like polished a lot more. It has the gloss finish which is shiny and gives that wow factor. The white with grey veining is a good option.

Polished. Or select a different material altogether. : ) Frankly, I love MSI Marbella , with no strong veining.....more scattered.

i'm torn between getting calacatta vicenza in honed or polished. I went to the MSI factory in norwood, Mass and i found that the polished finish shows more of a deeper pattern,which i prefer it to be very subtle. any advice or input?
