Chips in quartzite

I have quartzite counters with eased edges installed just over a year
ago. I have some chips, 2 around the sink (one large, one small) and one
on the edge of the counter. The ones by the sink are probably our fault
and things were dropped there. I am willing to pay to get them fixed. I
can't speak with my fabricator as is out, ill in the hospital for an
undetermined amount of time. How much is it likely to cost to get this
kind of thing fixed, and will the repair last? I tried to photo them,
but you can't see the chips in the photos.

I offer customers two different ways to fix the chips at the sink. One is the quick and relatively inexpensive method, which is to simply grind and polish the chips away. The radius edge around the sink will vary:

You may get this done for $300.00 or so.

The more expensive method involves dropping the sink and pulling the faucet so a profile bit will pass, then polishing the consistent new radius that will be much less likely to chip:

$500.00 or so.

Depends if it's really quartzite or it was labeled quartzite and is really marble.

I'm quite sure it is quartzite. I bought it from a large, well known stone supplier and my fabricator approved it as quartzite. One of the slabs is Perla Venta and the other is Foresta.

No, but when you go to sell your home, your Realtor will make you fix them for a stranger. Why not enjoy the fix while you live there? This happens all the time and it drives me crazy.

Just wanted to be informed. I would expect to fix them, but we're in the house for the long run. It was built from scratch a year ago & and we are both in our mid 60's.
