There are always a few up on ebay. Thats where I got mine. There is also one of my babies on there right now!

He actually got it from Lyndon Lyon. He was placing an order for some new African violets and knew that was the one I wanted most. They only have leaves available on their site and leaves and plants are generally shipped separately. He asked if they would be able to ship the one set of leaves along with the plants. He was ordering 10 - they said they could if there was room in the box.

Then unfortunately, when his card was charged for the order it did not appear they would be included. I was pretty disappointed.

When his order came, he asked if I would like to come over and see the plants. As I am looking, he asked if I saw anything special - and there it was - the Rose Bouquet plant. Turns out Lyndon Lyon did not have one of the plants he ordered so they substituted Rose Bouquet. I can still hardly believe it!

That was very nice of him, you must be a good mother!

He should be the apple in your eye! My Rose Bouque has turned green due to summer heat, but been robustly growing.

Very nice! I have had one on my wish list for a while. It has gotten pushed down on the list a few times but still one that I intend to have.

A friend of mine who gave me this a year ago, said, Rose Bouquet doesn't grow large, but she seems to be enojoying Japanese summer here.

I moved my Rose Bouquets to the basement to get more leaf variegation, now the center leaves are all white. I had to move them back to the main floor before they die pretty. I saw a lot of buds on both of mine. YAY!

Julie, I am curious. Did you move it to your basement so that it is exposed to lower temperature, or less lights? I can't locate cooler areas, but if less lights work, I move mine to a darker place, also.

i moved it to the basement so that it's in lower temperature. Someone on the board said cooler temperature helps the variegation. It worked too well. Now several plants including RB are showing too much variegation. I had to move them to the main floor which is hot. As to light, you actually need more light for variegated plants to grow well. I put them closest to the window.

Chip- High temperatures often affect variegation, turning the plant greener. Warmer temps. crank up the chlorophyll factories which are responsible for the green color in plants. Those of us who live in hot summer climes often move our variegates to cooler locations in the house to keep the variegation. When cooler weather comes around, variegation usually returns. If there is not an option to move plants around, less light can help to some degree but temperature is the main factor. If you are using natural light, moving to a darker area will also affect your plant's growth and flowering. All varieties, as well as individual plants, are different so play around to see what works best for your plant.

Thank you for your advice, Linda. Actually I lowered temperatures in my AV room by setting the air conditioner function more. My RB has slightly manifested variegation since then. I am impressed by its loyalty. This hybrid is one of the masterpieces I've ever grown.

My friend bought me rose bouquet on ebay. It comes with flower and one sucker. The one Katy got is much prettier. Hopefully my will turn out like hers :D. Since the plant look normal, is it necessary to isolate it? Only the flower look very small, about 1 cm in diameter. It looks like a mini flower. Is it suppose to be small?
