The house drawings were pretty simple. I took the photos of the house and printed them on 11x17 paper, traced them onto a clean sheet of paper and painted in the colors. It was a good way to "try out" the various colors. SW has an online program to do this, but I liked the look of my own drawings better.

I love the updated paint on the porch. It looks so fresh and clean and crisp now, like it is well cared for and well loved. I like the red door too. You must feel good to pull up in front of your house and see how great it looks!

I am planning to have new siding on my farm house. I am trying to decide on a color, roof is faded red metal. We will be covering cedar. I really don't want to change the color too drastically, a bit nervous about this. I know it needs to be done soon please help.

Funny you mention the blue ceiling on the porch Martha! I went back and forth on whether or not to do that. The original paint colors had a blue ceiling. In the end I just couldn't decide and had the painters go ahead with a neutral. Its definitely something I might revisit in the future. Thank you!

Carrying on on the porch ceiling theme - sort of. . . an easy way to change the ambiance especially at night is to use pale pink lightbulbs instead of regular ones. We'd seen it done and tried it and it gave a lovely warm and welcoming look.
