Anyone heard of Gilbert H Wild & Don ? They seem to have a lot of options

I haven't ordered from them. How many does multiple mean for you? There are some online daylily nurseries with great plants, many will be having fall sales.

Id take maybe 3 or 4. Nothing crazy. Early bloomer (may/june)

I've ordered from Wild, not daylilies, but been happy. I've heard several people talk about an online daylily nursery that had a clump sale about this time of year, I think it was Wrights, & were very pleased. Maybe someone else can verify that.

I have heard some very negative things about Gilbert Wild recently. The prices are low but the quality of plants is low too. I have heard that the plants are very small and dried out when they arrive.

Bonnie Nichols at Oak Hill Daylilies often has a sale in August. Her prices are not as low as Gilbert and Wilds but her quality is excellent and she is a very nice person to deal with. I just received an order from Sandy Veurink whose garden is called New Every Morning Garden. She has some of the most reasonable prices around (starting at $5 for a double fan). She sent nice plants and was also very nice to deal with. Also daylily growers are very general as a rule. They will advertise a double fan, but will often send a triple or more.

Are you familiar with the Lily Auction? There is a store section with fixed prices as well as buy it now options in the regular auction section. You can find many good bargains there. The price will not be a low as on Sandy Veurink's site or Gilbert Wild's. Sellers on the Lily Auction have to pay the owners of the site a fee to list and a fee when they sell the item.

Some of these websites might tell you the bloom season for each variety you are interested in, but others may not. Are you familiar with the database of the American Hemerocallis Society? If you aren't, you should check it out. You can look up any registered variety and get its stats.

Thanks, I'll check them out. I just started a new post because I was kinda set on the Gilbert Wild, no reason other than they had good prices and seem to have good choices. I'll look at the auction too, I just need one variety of pink and I'm not that specific on it, just it's bloom time which I know is hard to zero in on. I will absolutely out that website in my favorites, that may be a good help

Before you order, check out the reviews of Gilbert Wild on Dave's Garden Watchdog.

Like I said, I have no experience with them, but there are a lot of negative reviews on that site.

i just started playing with the daylily database.. wow !! awesome site. I hate checking one site seeing one thing and another saying another. this seems legitimate and more accurate.

Gilbert Wild often sends wrong plants and is unrepentant about doing so. Rude customer service.
