Well you have a very muted palette so far; you could do a bright single color. Do you like red? Are there any colors in an adjacent area?

If you want a statement, I'd suggest a raspberry red area rug under the table. Or, a royal blue.

Does anyone have any feeling about the moon pictures? I keep going back and forth and wonder if they are fitting in there. I do like those old french advertisement posters. Any thoughts on that?

I really like the moon pictures, but you say you want color and art is a way to add some. I hope you can use them somewhere else. Right now everything is pretty much black, grey, taupe and brown. Don't be afraid of color.
