First I'd start by opening up the space so you can better see it... as bellburgmaggie suggests remove the border and also all the items on top of the cabinets.

Will you be keeping the white appliances? Because if so, then I'd keep them on the cooler end, like a pale gray or a pretty straight white. Otherwise, my default in looking at your counters and floor would have been to recommend a cream.

Remove all the clutter and give us some idea of the rest of your home. While you are at it remove that backsplash IMO does not go with the counter and spend the money for a counter depth fridge.Wallpapre and top of cabinet decor has got to go too.

A slight off white, and add hardware.
