I'm wondering how you harvest and process gomphrena/globe amaranth? Once I cut the flower low enough to have a decent length stem i remove the leaves and additional branches that haven't any flowers. However, the place where I remove the stems seems to be a weak point where the main, at times, rots and weakens after being in the vase for a few days. Are there any tricks?
