We just started a renovation. Only the demolition has been done, but we are already thrilled with the more open space. We have a long midcentury modern/vintage sidebar for the dining area that now doesn't have a home. There is a long enough space perpendicular to the front door. Trying to decide whether to have the builder build a half-wall or something like an open screen... ?
