With dark brown, cream and espresso you might think about a soft blue as a accent. Take a look at the following examples for inspiration:

Also rust works beautifully (or even a deep muted blue grey)

since our comforter is very similar to the blanket on the 'master bedroom addition picture', would your thoughts be to paint all the walls a blue or blue grey or just one accent wall? If we do a blue wall, should my drapes be brown or would it be ok to do a coordinating blue? Also, the flooring is hardwood, so b/c there is a design in the comforter should I do solid rug? I like the 'Wakefield Residence' rug, but thinking it may be too busy. Thoughts?

Turquoise, teal, gold or red also work very nicely with creams and dark brown.
