Can you get some closer up pics

Do they have some kind of posts supporting the roof over the porch? It is hard to see from so far away!

Unfortunately this is the best shot I have for now. The post do support the roofing structure. I have thought about restructuring that to include some lower columns like in the attached picture. (Rough sketch)The color of the wood siding under the windows and on the porch is a mustard yellow and is not my cup of tea. The brick is a light grayish color.

Are you in FL? It looks like the center is interesting. I would remove the shrubs, then create a beautiful walkway from the street, lined with bright plants/flowers. Brighten the center area(of the house) with color, then create some sort of seating area with pavers if there isn't any concrete. Of course whatever you do is dependent on which direction your home faces. Good luck and congrats!

Generally, something rectangular as opposed to round. You might try a simple slab with single lite sidelites, or a french door with horizontal lite cuts or just a single lite.

Or maybe double doors, depending on the interior plan. It would mimic the window structure.
