Restoration Hardware sofas, Used on Craigslist???

I like both of these used RH sofas. Would you purchase them used on CL? The chesterfield is $2200 (seller says its new) and the one on the right is $1400 but has a stain in the right cushion that I would need to fix. I could new sofas for $2000 but want something different and unusual. Sofas at the most other stores just look the same to me.

I wouldn't buy a sofa that was in storage or outside. I would buy one I could see in a clean home (and I did!). You could go look at the Chesterfield and try to barter it down though. I would pass on the other one. The cushions are lumpy, the arms aren't square, and it isn't worth even 1/2 of the 1400 they are asking.

I'm sure some storage facilities are fine-- temperature controlled, etc. But others aren't-- sitting in a sweatbox or ice chest for years isn't good for anything. I guess the answer is "it depends." Check out the situation. Ask if smoke free/pet free as well ...

There's a reason they are for sale. It is called JUNK. And the second one is real nerve at 1400.00 . More like 200.00 for a stain that will not come out, on a sofa with zero support within, and some lumpy cushioning, also with zero support or comfort. PASS.

Great points. I did some research last night and ended up going with a cococohome sofa. My first real "grown up" sofa purchase. Hopefully it goes well.

Still getting used to the amount of money I spent but I like the fact that its made in NC.
