Went by my local Safeway tonight and they had deep clearance on some items. I bought window sill herb planters (clay pots with seed and soil mix; set of 3; basil, chives, cilantro I think) for 90 cents. They had some perennial and annual bulbs too. really cheap for 30 cents. I didn't trust the dahlias and lilies and the like. I opened the box and squeezed the bag and there was nothing firm. But I did splurge on gladiolas and few others. I'll plant them now. No, I won't get a bloom, but glads come back in my area. So for 30 cents, I'm gonna dig a whole and put down a marker so I'll remember come spring :)
