Corner bed setup and such?

This is a one room guest apartment above a garage, so not daily use but hopefully an Airbnb rental.

Due to layout and such of other aspects, putting the queen four poster bed in the corner is my best option. My plan is to build a corner unit to fit in the corner. I can have an outlet added very easily so will be able to put a lamp on the unit behind the headboard. My original plan was to have two small wall shelves on either side of the bed with wall lamps mounted above. But I think putting a lamp on the unit behind the bed will be less crowded for getting in and out of bed. The center height of the headboard portion of the bed is 40" the height of the corner unit will be 46-48" to not block the crazy trapezoid window.

Would it be better to have 2 separate lamps or just one? I'm looking for lamps that have the switches on the base so it easier to reach up behind to turn off and on. Or I can have a wall switch mounted in the headboard if that seems like a better option?

Would you keep the small wall mounted shelves? For a glass of water or something small?

Here is the corner now, we are tearing out the corner desk.

This is similar to the unit I'm building, minus the higher back piece.

This is kind of how it will be end up, I made the headboard piece red just to make it stand out. The little shelves are shown in white. On the right is the door to the porch, the left door is to the bathroom.

Side tables kind of like this, if I do that.
