Your plants look amazing! They could probably be further apart, but whatever you're doing is clearly working well for you! We all learn new things each season and what might work this season may not work next season. In the end, it's all part of what makes gardening so fun. Can't wait to see your harvests! :)

Especially in a small space, if you aren't seeing signs of serious disease and you aren't having problems working in the area, crowding can work well.

Being a fellow PNW'er, I know how hard it is to grow tomatoes successfully in our climate. Congratulations - you done good!! Mine are tall, healthy plants but only just now starting to produce fruit....about a month later than I usually expect. But recently moved to a new location that gets less ideal sun exposure.......on top of other climate issues, it is not easy to grow tomatoes in not a lot of sun here!!

Thanks all! The varieties are: Lemon Boy, Sun Gold, Gold Nugget, Cherry Bomb, Mountain Magic, Plum Regal, Yellow Pear, Indigo Sun, Ethiopian Prince, a determinate San Marzano type, and what I think is a Black Cherry? They turn mostly dull purple when ripe:

The main disease Im concerned about is late blight, which brought down my plants last year in early September. No rain in the 2 week forecast but it will come eventually. I will root some cuttings and put my portable greenhouse over them, also growing reportedly resistant varieties for the first time.

gardengal, I am really lucky that my backyard gets a lot of sun, this year I got my earliest tomato in June, the Gold Nugget of course.

Still not a whole lot of tomatoes in the harvests but definitely can't complain as most of my other veggies are working out.
