Here I Go Mixing Patterns Again!

I have this bedspread in a guest room and I am looking to recover a rattan chair cushion with one of these Marimeko prints. Would you recommend? If not, what would you suggest?

Here is a picture of the chair and some other shots of the room, including the corner I am planning on putting the chair. ( It is a very sentimental chair that I have inherited.)

I think those go, I would stick with the all green personally.

The mix of patterns in the room is a bit much for me. Of the three, however, I wouldn't chose the last. It seems to me that a paisley print on the bedspread, and a different paisley print on the chair would be too much. That said, if I had to pick, I would go with the first. The bright red flowers will make a cheery addition to the room.

Thanks all! The last paisley print is just a close up of the bedspread.

I would use the bright red flower pattern. It pulls the read out of the comforter for a nice pop of color. Good luck!

From looking at the cushion for the chair, how many yards of fabric would I need? Cushion is 46" long and 20" wide with a fabric welding.

I do like the red patterned print also. But how many yards? Cushion size in above post.

I would do the red flowers and then find a red throw pillow to pull the red back onto the bed. Good luck! Looks really fun and colorful"

I like the red print, but think I might go more with a large geometric print. The chair is great.

How about this colorful stripe for the chair?

Here is the bedspread with the potential chair stripe. Thoughts?

No............. There's already a sofa with a bold conflicting stripe colorway in the view of this room. Use the spread somewhere else entirely, link the view beyond and in a way that brings the headboard and style to life. Add a simple denim /chambray cushion to the chair. Now...... the "view", the sailboat art, the bed, linens, all make harmony, with same point of view in style. The quilts work due to change in SCALE : ) and commonality in color. Paint the chair, white.......or deep navy first. Put a lamp next to the bed........

That's the right direction :)! Can you find something with thin stripes like that but with a lot more white so it's subtler?

Oh geez I just saw what Jan was talking about. I hadn't seen that other picture before. I totally agree. The room w the bed needs to work with the couch in the other room.
Well that's why I thought the large red Marimekko floral would work. Any stripe would be in conflict with the sofa that can be seen I guess.

I would suggest the bright for red and. Carrying the pattern to the chair cushion with a solid yellow throw pillow on the chair

The spread you have On the bed........ is in conflict WITH the sofa. Sorry! It shares nothing with the view beyond. UNless the plan is to keep the door closed.

Nice! Cover the chair in the red one and make two large euro shams for the bed with the green one. I love color. If you are worried about the couch in the other room, the red will pull it in enough

You still aren't seeing it. ..................... and none of that looks great with the sofa. Though all great together. Just the way it is...... its more than just pattern it's a feel.

Thank you. I am seeing it. This is a beach house and the reason I like pattern is it hides a multitude of sins. If you are standing in the sitting room and look into the bedroom you can't really see the bed. If you are in the bedroom, you mostly have the door closed. I like the patterns you have chosen. I think I just need to keep it simple on the chair. I also do not want to spend a lot of money, so I am looking for a 4 yd remnant. I think the Marimekko flowers, while beautiful, are 56" wide and since the cushion is 20" wide, there will be a lot of waste in trying to center the pattern.
