Foothill Palo Verde in coastal Zone 9b/Sunset 14

I'm looking into the Palo Verde tree and it seems the Foothill is the smaller variety. I'm in coastal Northern California in Zone 9b/Sunset 14. Would the foothill palo verde (Parkinsonia microphylla) do well in my area? Is the smallest variety of the palo verde the foothill Palo Verde that grows 10-20 ft high and 10-20 wide?
