I've read that this fan needs 240 volts. Standard US homes are only 120 volts. WIll this fan work in a standard US home?

    So when you say "designed for use in North America" you mean to say, I can install this fan requiring 240v to operate to a 120v power source without any extra electrical installation, wires, or hardware and it will operate just as it should?

    Hello again! To further clarify, standard household voltage in North America is 120V. This ceiling fan is designed for 120V, runs on 120V. Thank you for shopping with Houzz!
