I promised it would take two months and it took ten. We stripping the kitchen down to the studs, removed soffits and then had professionals come in and install all new wiring with dedicated lines, do some minor plumbing and install the kitchen floor. We installed the cabinets and appliances and then it all came to a grinding halt until could agree on the countertops. That in itself took several months. Now with the exception with some stainless trim on the hood we are complete. I am seriously reevaluating the Reno on the guest bath now.
