Sliding Barn Doors as window treatments?

Hi All, I'm considering installing 2 sliding barn doors along a wall that has 2 large (almost floor to ceiling--about 1 foot below and 8 inches above) windows. Not planning on any furniture along that wall. Has anyone done (or seen) this before? Thinking of this as an alternative to plantation shutters, roman shades or other window treatment. Thought would be to slide them along a track to cover windows for privacy, open them for light in daytime. Pictures to share? Thoughts? Thanks!

If you like the look I think it would work IF you have enough space that the barn doors would fully expose the windows when the doors are open. My concern is that only 8" above the window for the track might not be enough space. You will need a heavy duty track to hold the weight of the doors.

Does mean you can't use those walls for anything else -- no art there, no furniture you can't get behind, etc...
