Hi Jay, not only would the Herringbone not clash, it looks like a great choice. I think you should also paint the garage door the same color as the siding. Bear in mind I'm basing my thoughts on how things appear on my screen. Nice house!

For correct sizing, each shutter should be half the window's width, even if they're just decorative. That can look odd on a large, double window like yours.

That is not our house! That was a sample that the brick company sent. Here is a render of our house (the bottom)

Get the builder to leave off the fake quoins on the corners. Completely inappropriate on a brick (and especially stucco) wall.

And if you're going to have a railing around the porch roof, at least put a tall window in the center that mimics a door. The railing looks silly with just a normal size window.

And one thought about the siding...if your sidewalk is as the one in the bottom photo, think about upgrading. The first surface your guests will see as they walk up to the front door is vinyl siding. It's a small wall, but very prominent. A fiber cement would make a better first impression.

Thanks for the feedback! @tatts our house is actually flipped so the vinyl is on the other side. The cost to add brick on that portion was 5k. Could this be done later?

Which elevation is yours? The top one or the bottom one with the brick? If you have the brick one and you are considering adding brick where the stucco is now, don't do it later. You will end up with a mismatch in the brick colors - could be subtle or substantial mismatch.

We are the bottom with brick. Will it be a mismatch even if we buy the same exact brick within a month or so of closing?

That is the real issue - getting the exact same brick. You can buy from the same vendor and have the same product, but still have variances in color. Just understand this risk before you undertake the project of changing out your stucco for brick. It is suggested to get all of your brick at the same time.

Jay, I like your actual house, too. Also still vote for Herringbone...again, based on my computer screen.

Jay--a different siding on that section is okay. I wasn't suggesting that it had to be all brick. But it should be something nicer than vinyl--cedar shingles, real wood clapboards, etc., even a good imitation like Hardie cement. It's the front of the house, after all.
